Welcome to Kokkedal Golf Club

We bid everyone welcome to Kokkedal Golfklub.
Kokkedal Golfklub (KG) was founded in 1971 as the 33rd golf club in Denmark. Right from the start the club had at its disposal 6 holes, which were in 1979 extended to 9 holes and later in 1980 to 18 holes. Over the years the course has been continuously improved to the benefit of members and guest players. Besides we have a par-3 course, which may only be used by the club’s members; and a driving range (with a ball machine) and 2 putting/shooting greens.

The course has a length of 5923 metres from yellow tee, and 5019 metres from red tee. For the gentlemen (yellow tee) the course rating is 71,6 and slope 128, for the ladies (red tee) the course rating is 72,0 and slope 122, the course par is 72. The record is 64 strokes (set in 2005), held by the club’s head pro Nigel Willett.

The course is a park course in undulating, open country with varied vegetation, winding around Kokkedal Castle. From some holes you may have a look at Oeresund. The course seems at first easy to play, challenges, however, the individual player to a tactical precision in the strokes. Fairways are wide, and most of the bunkers are strategically well placed, so that you need the course guide, if you want an acceptable result. The water (lakes) to be found may be dealt with if only you think before stroking your ball. Shooting to greens that are rather fast, normally goes without problems, although the putting may cheat a bit, if the putting line is not read correctly. All in all a fair course, challenging both high and low handicaps.

Through the later years the club has worked hard at maintaining the course, for instance quite a few new lady tee places have been made, and hole 3, the wood hole – par 3, was rearranged in 2004.

Apart from an exciting and challenging course the club offers a comfortable club house with changing facilities for both ladies and gentlemen, and a well assorted pro shop, offering everything within golf equipment as well as rent of equipment and training hours.

Before and after a round our restaurant offers an assortment of light as well as more ample courses.

Between 9th and 10th hole you will find a halfway house with toilet and drinking water machine.

During the season from May to September it may be desirable to book a starting time, but you can also take a chance, go to the club house, and get a starting time. But please call us before, so that you do not drive in vain. Also please consult our home page for our updated activity list.

We hope that all who visit us, may have a great golf experience.
